A new thrift shop helps Portlanders living with disabilities

Jan 11 2021, 10:49 pm

Portland’s newest thrift shop opened quietly this past weekend at 8304 SE Stark Street.

The Arc Thrift Store, run by The Arc of Multnomah-Clackamas, is accepting donations and selling some of the hottest used clothing and items Portland has to offer.

All proceeds from the Arc Thrift Store go towards those living with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The thrift shop is currently hiring for Used Goods Associates, who will be busy leading volunteers, receiving and processing donations, and backing up the Donation Attendant.

Those hoping to apply can send a cover letter, resume, and two work references to [email protected]. Only complete applications will be considered for employment.

The full job posting can be found online.
