The middle two weeks of March, in particular, are popular with groups flocking over for spring break. So, if you don’t mind crowds, it’s the perfect sunny escape.

Like Cancun, March is a high season for Belize, but it is also a very cheap destination for those looking to combat the winter blues.

If you plan on travelling in a group, specifically, you will likely find Belize a very affordable place to visit through splitting the costs of things such as accommodation.

Caye Caulker is an ideal spot for budget travellers as it is nearby San Pedro on Ambergris Caye and has a very similar vibe while also having lower prices.

As a warm destination, Lima is a popular place to visit from December through February.

However, come March, the crowd numbers subside, which causes hotels to drop their prices. The colonial city is rich in history, culture, and an abundance of delicious food choices at affordable costs.

As well, just because the crowds are dwindling, doesn’t mean that the nice weather is gone. The sunny days with warm temperatures extend into late April.
