With multiple emergency declarations issued Tuesday, Oregon Forestry and Fire & Rescue departments have been hard at work trying to contain growing fires around the state and evacuate citizens.
Currently, more than half a dozen counties are in warnings, and many areas surrounding Salem, Oregon, have reached Level 3 warnings, which is a “leave now” order. Detroit, Lyons, Mehama, Mill City, Gates, Idahoans, North Fork, Brietenbush are all on Level 3 GO orders.
The Portland Metro area is under an air quality advisory due to wildfire smoke.

• Keep windows and doors closed.

Oregon Governor Kate Brown issued another warning in a live press conference today, stating that the next 24 hours will be crucial, as the state will continue experiencing an extreme wind condition, which greatly aids a fire’s spread.
Air quality warnings have been issued in Portland and beyond, and with many raging fires just a short distance away from Salem, Oregon, the skies have lit up orange with smoke and reflection.
