Coronavirus-infected Trump halts American COVID-19 relief

President Donald Trump has declined a COVID-19 proposal put forth by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi regarding relief for Americans suffering due to the pandemic.

On Tuesday afternoon, Trump issued a series of tweets saying he rejects the proposal and added he has instructed his White House representatives to cease all relief negotiations until after the election in November.

One tweet stated, “Immediately after I win, we will pass a major Stimulus Bill that focuses on hardworking Americans and Small Business.”

Trump — who tested positive for coronavirus last week, and who just returned home to the White House — got a “no symptoms” review from his physician Tuesday morning before pulling Republican representatives from relief talks.

Trump stated that the $2.4 trillion requested relief is “in no way related to COVID-19” before adding that Pelosi “is not negotiating in good faith.”
