Okay RipCity, the holidays have come early for the Portland Trail Blazers’ faithful. They have revealed a new third-jersey, inspired by the beautiful state of Oregon and they are stunning.
In a celebration of Oregon, the new Blazers jerseys feature a rather striking topography pattern stitched into a brown colored material. Trimmed with red, and a streaking horizon design, the kits pay tribute to our state’s beautiful skies, mountains, and shades.
A brown jersey is almost never on my list of must-haves, but these are gorgeous. Take a look.
Our 2020-21 uniform celebrates the unique beauty of Oregonās landscape as well as acknowledging & honoring the tribal nations throughout what is now considered Oregon who have called this land their home from the beginning.

From the represented regions in the horizon lines to the original color of the Nike swoop — celebrating the company’s origins in the state — to the cut-off “g” in Oregon to match the famous Portland, Oregon neon sign alongside the Burnside Bridge.
The lead design element is earth tone colors, representing the beautiful landscape of Oregon.
For the first time in team history, āOregonā is stitched across the chest displaying the pride for our state using the font from the iconic sign. https://t.co/vGvBRBkVw5 pic.twitter.com/lo2BCEl4IP

One of the greatest pieces of the new City Edition jersey design is the “We will always be here” quote near the jersey tag.
“[The phrase] acknowledges the proud culture of this region’s tribal nations and celebrates their past, present, and future,” reads the Blazers’ uniform description.

“Biofreeze and the Trail Blazers have teamed up to donate a portion of the net proceeds from jersey sales to the Native American Youth and Family Center (NAYA), a Portland-area nonprofit working to enhance the diverse strengths of Native youth and families through cultural identity and education.”
