The Nutcracker returns to Portland this weekend

There are few things that spell Christmas in Portland quite like The Nutcracker ballet.

No holiday celebration is complete without experiencing the glory of the show performed live. This holiday season, from December 7 to 26, you can witness true magic on stage at the Oregon Ballet Theatre.

This marks the 17th time the annual production of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker will hit the city.

From swirling snowflakes, intricately lavish costumes, and magnificent sceneries, this ballet rendition of The Nutcracker will have you spellbound and your eyes glued on the performers on stage.

No matter how old you are, you can never cease to be captivated by the sugar plum fairy, and the prince as they make their way through the land of sweets, all while Tchaikovsky’s soul-moving music just takes everything to the next level.
