The Lil Smokies
What: Drawing on the energy of a rock band and the Laurel Canyon songwriting of the ‘70s, The Lil Smokies are reimagining their approach to roots music on Tornillo, named for the remote Texas town where the album was recorded. Produced by Bill Reynolds (The Avett Brothers, Band of Horses), Tornillo is the band’s third studio album.
Formed in Missoula, Montana, The Lil Smokies have built a national following through constant touring. They have performed at Red Rocks, LOCKN’, High Sierra, Telluride, Bourbon & Beyond and more.

Red Gala PDX

Burncycle with Bumble

Lantern Workshop
What: This event is part of the Portland Winter Light Festival. Join us for a family-friendly DIY workshop and make your own lantern! This takes place on Sunday, January 26.
This workshop, led by artist Tessa Winiarski, will lead you through creating your own one-of-a-kind lantern. This year’s lantern design, by Tessa Winiarski, is constructed out of recycled wooden boxes and plastic sheeting, making it durable and water resistant. Along with the crafting of the structure, creativity will be encouraged through color choice, painting style, and illustration.

An Evening with Luis Gallo, Guitarist
What: Luis Gallo is one of the most acclaimed guitarists in the flamenco scene and hails from Madrid, Spain. Well versed in jazz, classical, and flamenco genres, Gallo performs on an international circuit while remaining firmly rooted in his Spanish origins. His latest project — Caminos de la Guitarra (“Paths of Guitar”) — traces the historical journey of the guitar, which dates back to 15th-century Spain.
