The Portland Arts and Lectures group has finally announced the guest author lineup for the 2020-2021 season, and the list is a spectacular one.
Now in its 36th year, the Portland Arts and Lectures festival is a year-long calendar of local events featuring some of the best and brightest writers of all genres.
“Our promise to subscribers is an incredible season of original talks from some of the most exciting writers at work today,” said Andrew Proctor, executive director of Literary Arts.
The 2020/21 season includes Madeline Miller (The Song of Achilles, Circe), Joy Harjo (the 23rd Poet Laureate of the United States), Helen Macdonald (H is for Hawk), and many more.
With Oregon introducing a phased approach to reopening its economy, Literary Arts and its Portland Arts and Lectures series is tasked with remaining agile as the future unfolds.
“If for any reason a lecture cannot be safely held, we will make every possible effort to reschedule the event and your tickets will transfer,” said Proctor. “If an event simply cannot be rescheduled … we will produce a high-quality streamed event for your home.”
You can subscribe to the Portland Arts and Lectures season for $90. For more information on dates, and speakers, check out the Literary Arts website.
