Oregon reports 1,099 new COVID-19 cases, 10 new deaths

The Oregon Health Authority confirmed 1,099 new known cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, in addition to 10 new deaths.

The total number of known cases in Oregon is now 59,669. The virus has claimed the lives of 788 people in the state.

According to Oregon Health Authority, the new cases are in the following counties: Baker (nine), Benton (13), Clackamas (82), Clatsop (four), Columbia (six), Coos (five), Crook (six), Curry (three), Deschutes (40), Douglas (33), Gilliam (two), Grant (six), Harney (three), Hood River (11), Jackson (108), Jefferson (15), Josephine (20), Lake (eight), Lane (115), Lincoln (five), Linn (30), Malheur (33), Marion (84), Morrow (two), Multnomah (210), Polk (nine), Tillamook (four), Umatilla (29), Union (three), Wasco (four), Washington (171), and Yamhill (26).

“Oregon’s 788th COVID-19 death is a 76-year-old man in Lane County who tested positive on Oct. 22 and died on Nov.17, at McKenzie Willamette Medical Center. Presence of underlying conditions is being confirmed.,” the OHA update reads.
