On Tuesday, the Oregon Health Authority confirmed 18 new known cases of COVID-19, and no new fatalities.

At the time of writing, the number of known cases in Oregon sits at 3,967, and 148 fatalities.

According to Oregon Health Authority, the new cases reported today are in the following counties: Clackamas (two), Crook (one), Marion (five), Multnomah (seven), Washington (three), and Yamhill (one).

The OHA is also reminding people that federal authorities recommend wearing masks in public, and that “staying home and avoiding all non-essential contact with others continues to be the most important thing all of us can do to stay healthy and keep others healthy.”

The restrictions in an executive order passed down by Governor Kate Brown have recently seen their first loosening. Instituting a new phased reopening plan, the state will reevaluate how to approach the coronavirus on a county-by-county basis as businesses look to reopen.
