The Oregon Health Authority reported 1,331 new and presumptive COVID-19 cases, with 12 new deaths on December 7.
The state has now seen a total of 85,788 virus cases, and the death toll has risen to 1,045.
The new confirmed and presumptive COVID-19 cases reported today are in the following counties: Baker (five), Benton (19), Clackamas (134), Columbia (seven), Coos (nine), Crook (six), Curry (8), Deschutes (66), Douglas (11), Grant (one), Harney (three), Hood River (three), Jackson (21), Jefferson (44), Josephine (21), Lane (78), Lincoln (17), Linn (50), Malheur (11), Marion (165), Multnomah (330), Polk (24), Umatilla (15), Union (seven), Wasco (16), Washington (225), Yamhill (35).
Since Sunday, the number of hospitalizations has increased by 19, bringing the total number of hospitalized patients to 565. The reason for the reduced hospitalization count was not stated in the release. As of December 6, seven more people are in the ICU bringing the total to 120.
