Learn to cook traditional Tuscan dishes from an Italian chef (VIDEOS)

Apr 3 2020, 6:16 pm

Silvia Grossi, the executive chef of Il Salviatino inĀ Fiesole, Italy, one of the country’s most famous hotels, is teaching viewers from around the world the valuable skill of cooking at home, with a focus on traditional Tuscan cuisine.

Grossi is teaching the lessons from the comfort of her home using ingredients that she — and most fans of Italian food and flavors — has in her pantry.

The live videos, which are viewable on the Il Salviatino Instagram account, have walked users through how to make an assortment of dishes.

Thus far, Grossi has shown how to make a multigrain pici pasta with onion, sumac, and bergamot, and meatballs with sauce, as well as how to go about creating homemade gnocchi complete with black cabbage, sun-dried tomatoes, burrata cheese, and fresh herbs. Even homemade pizza andĀ Chickpeas veloutĆ©.

Grossi’s approach to teaching is straightforward and easy to understand for any level of cook from beginner to expert, while the dishes are a perfect blend of comfort food and healthy, and not to mention delicious.

The videos are posted twice a week with instructions in the captions. The description also outlines all of the ingredients necessary to cook a specific dish.

Add some variety to your quarantine cooking through picking up a new skill and experimenting with flavors and dishes you may not otherwise have tried.

Bon appƩtit!
