What to eat in Portland today: La Rose Patisserie

Aug 11 2020, 10:22 pm

We’re here to shed some light on one of Portland’s most fantastical fusion restaurants: La Rose Patisserie. A place to succulently satisfy your sweet tooth.

Individualized culinary experiences are beyond some of the best moments to enjoy food and all of the joy it can bring you. One combination that doesn’t often see the light is the fusion between French and Asian cuisines.

La Rose Patisserie brings the best of both worlds into one menu, providing Portland with some exquisite eats.

Think of it as a unique selection of French pastries, with some injection of Japanese influences. There’s no shortage of astounding treats at this Patisserie.

What to order

We’re fans of the sweet here. Sure, the savory will always play a major role in our lives, but that delicious dessert is the beautiful bow at the end of any meal, and we’re here for that. This is why any item at La Rose Patisserie is worth your time.

That being said, La Rose makes one of the most authentic, beautifully jiggle-worthy, and wondrously fluffy Japanese-style souffle pancakes. These are stunning, and La Rose is one of the only places in the Pacific Northwest that makes them to perfection.
