One of the best parts about any culinary experience is the opportunity to sit around a table with those that you adore and share a meal. Unfortunately, the current state of the world doesn’t facilitate such a gathering.

For Portlandians, there’s one spot that offers up one of the best large table meals, a mountain of Taiwanese favorites cooked up by the fine folks at Farmhouse Kitchen.

In what can only be described as a brilliant pivot, the flavor masters at this eatery have devised the perfect take-home version of this splendid meal.

With locations in and around the San Francisco and Oakland areas of California, Portland is fortunate enough to have one of their few restaurants all to ourselves, and you’d be remiss to ignore the mind-blowing dinner options they have featured on their takeout and delivery menus.

What to order

There’s no denying that single dishes at Farmhouse Kitchen are fantastic and can scratch that Thai-food itch beyond any measure, but being able to bring the monster feast that is their Little Lao Set home with you is unmatched.

Featuring fresh rolls with peanut sauce, samosa, beef rolls, papaya salad, Penang short rib, hat yai fried chicken, shrimp fried rice, pad Thai, spicy eggplant, blue rice, fried egg, and two Thai iced teas, it’s a smorgasbord from the gods. It’s available in both regular and vegetarian forms.
