Take a peek behind the magical curtain into what was once the real-life home of Walt Disney himself.

That’s right, the property is known to many as “Walt Disney’s Technicolor Dream House” is officially on the market for a cool $1.1 million.

The property is located in the warm desert paradise of Palm Springs, California, in the “highly desirable” neighborhood of Indian Canyons.

According to the real estate listing on Better Homes and Gardens, the home was constructed for Disney and his wife, Lillian, as a “retreat for their later years.” Family members have owned the property since 2015.

The single-storey, 2,433-sq-ft house comes equipped with four unique bedrooms complete with four separate ensuite bathrooms as well as a private backyard with a large pool and spa.

The property itself is on a quarter of an acre and spouts breathtaking “180-degree mountain views” from both the front and back parts. Constructed in 1962, the “glass walls, backyard swimming pool and outdoor dining and recreation areas make it a quintessential Southern California mid-century modern spot with Hollywood Pedigree,” the listing describes.

While it may appear modest from the outside, don’t let the exterior fool you; the interior features eclectic decorations that are as bright and creative as you would expect from the creator of Disney, with spouts of reds and blues and purples accompanied by unique geometric furniture.

The front entry of the house even comes with its own mirrored ceiling.

Of course, the home has a touch of Disney flare with portraits of Mickey and Winnie the Pooh on display in one of the bedrooms.

You can take a 360-degree virtual tour of the property conducted by Michael Erives, the real estate agent in charge of the listing.

The tour is full of interesting tidbits, such as the fact that Disney had two “hidden Mickeys” painted into the house.
