Confirmed coronavirus cases in the US surpass 10 million

As of Monday afternoon, the total confirmed number of coronavirus cases in the United States has surpassed 10 million, according to the World Health Organization.

At the time of writing, the total of cases in the US is 10,319,131. Just 10 days ago, the US exceeded nine million cases — a new record for the shortest time case counts increase by one million cases.

Reported stats show that 6,485,877 people have recovered from the virus in the country, and there have been 243,857 deaths due to the disease.

The United States remains the world’s top country for most coronavirus cases.
