Evacuation zones grow in Oregon as wildfires continue north

Sep 10 2020, 2:57 pm

Late yesterday, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Department updated evacuation zones which included a full Level 3 “evacuate now” order for extended regions of Estacada, Springwater, Currinsville, George, and Bissell.

This afternoon, evacuation zones for the county have grown once again.

This time, cities of Union Mills, Beavercreek, and the Molalla area in Clackamas County have been upgraded to Level 3 orders. To reiterate, that means “leave immediately!”

Level 2 orders, which means “you must prepare to leave at a moment’s notice,” have pushed beyond Oregon City, and runs along the Willamette River.

The Level 1 “be ready for potential evacuation” order line has remained the same since yesterday afternoon. Reaching up north to Milwaukee and Lake Oswego areas.

It is crucial that Oregonians follow the orders of emergency services as the wildfires continue to burn out of control and cause immense damage throughout the state.
