The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has released a self-assessment tool to help the public during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The free, online tool, was made available on Thursday and tells users if they, or someone they know, requires further testing.

According to the CDC, the purpose of the Coronavirus Self-Checker is to help you make decisions about seeking appropriate medical care and is not intended for the diagnosis or treatment of disease or other conditions, including coronavirus.

The self-checker asks if users are ill, or caring for someone who’s ill. It also asks age, gender, whether or not you have certain life-threating symptoms, or if you have experienced symptoms such as difficulty breathing, severe chest pain, having difficulty waking up, confusion, or a loss of consciousness.
