Jun 23 2016, 4:18 am

Les Amis de la Montagne is hosting 6 free concerts in Montreal this summer right on top of Mount Royal. Known as “Musical Sundays in the Mount Royal Chalet,” concerts will be taking place each month from June until October.

Kicking your Sunday afternoon up a notch, each concert will begin at 3:00pm and feature one of “Montreal’s most promising young talents,” so rest assured, you’re in a for a treat.

Performances you need to note include Project Chopin, a jazz trio showing off their stuff on July 10th, pianist Olivia Musat mesmerizing us with her music on August 7th, and Guitars en Folie to ring in Labour Day weekend on September 4th. There are also two free performances in October, and we can’t imagine a prettier backdrop than the Fall foliage of Mount Royal.

If you’re still looking for another reason to attend, Les Amis de la Montagne will be offering guided tours of the Chalet after each performance. Tours are offered in French and English and are once again, completely free of charge.

We can’t think of a more magical setting to listen to music in Montreal.
