Now that summer’s in full swing, it’s time to get your tan on. Grab your towel, some sunscreen, and your cutest summer outfit and head to any one of the awesome tanning spots below.

Piscine Sir-Wilfrid-Laurier

Piscine Sir-Wilfrid-Laurier is the place to be and be seen this summer. Consistently packed with Montrealers from all boroughs, Piscine Sir-Wilfrid-Laurier is a fantastic place to go with a group of friends. Renovated just a few years ago, the pool now has a large tanning deck along with a surrounding picnic area. Kick your day into full gear with a post-swimming picnic in Mile End park.

Hotel Bonaventure Montreal

Only a couple minutes from Station Bonaventure, the Hotel Bonaventure is the place to go if you’re looking for a quiet day in the sun. This downtown hotel features a rooftop pool surrounded by lush gardens and a small pond. One catch, you have to be a guest at the hotel in order to use the pool. If you don’t feel like casually hanging around the hotel all day until you find someone that will let you in, consider splitting the cost of a room with friends. Split between four people, you can rent a room for roughly $25 each.

Clock Tower Beach

You can tan on an actual beach right here in Montreal. Clock Tower Beach, located in Old Port, is the perfect place to relax in the sand with a drink in hand. Admission is just $2, it’s open every day of the week, and it offers beautiful views of downtown Montreal and the Saint Lawrence.

Take advantage of Club LaCite’s outdoor rooftop pool. Overlooking Mount Royal, Club LaCite offers memberships for as low as $25/month, and includes access to both the pool and gym facilities. The complex includes two pools, a huge tanning deck surrounding the pool, and a tiny restaurant serving up cold drinks and hot burgers and sausages throughout the day.

Beaver Lake

Catch some rays lakeside on Mount Royal. Grab some friends and some food and have a picnic down by Beaver Lake or soak up the sun from one of Beaver Lake’s row boats. Every day until August 28, you can rent a boat at the Beaver Lake Pavilion and work on that tan from the middle of the lake. Get some exercise and meander around the lake or just float idly as your skin absorbs the hot sun.

Montreal’s public pools just not doing it for you? Grab your car and head over to Beachclub, just a 40-minute drive from downtown Montreal. Part electronic club and part beach paradise, Beachclub is the perfect place to forget your troubles. Not only will you literally be leaving the city (and all your stress) behind, but you’ll be able to dance, sing, drink, or just relax and swim in the water. No matter what you’re in the mood for, Beachclub is a great place to get your tan on.

Jean-Dore Beach

A short bus or Bixi ride from Station Jean Drapeau, Jean Dore Beach is a great place to tan whether you’re looking to relax or have an adventure. The sandy beaches and warm water are perfect for tanning and swimming. However, if you’re in the mood for something a little more exciting, Aquazilla and the Flyboard are located further down the beach.
