Where to get free yoga classes around Montreal

Jun 15 2016, 10:39 pm

Montreal is a haven for yogis everywhere. From acrobatic yoga to prenatal yoga, Montreal has it all. And while this city does boast some pretty glitzy (and expensive) yoga studios, we also have several options for those on a budget.

Every one of the studios on this list offers free classes, so if you’re looking to try it out or just looking to save some money this month, be sure to stop by any of the yoga studios below and strike your best downward dog!

Yogasanteplus

Yoga Sante Plus is Montreal’s most underrated yoga studio. Yogasanteplus offers classes for Montrealers of all levels in addition to their personalized yoga classes ranging from prenatal to therapeutic yoga. As if this weren’t enough, the best part about Yogasanteplus are their outdoor classes each summer in Maisonneuve Park. If you’re still not convinced, your first class is free and once you use it up, a class will only cost you $6.

Naada Yoga

Naada Yoga is located in the heart of the Mile End. With a vast range of classes from Yoga Wall to Naada Live (where you practice yoga to a backdrop of live musicians,) there’s a class for everyone. They even offer therapeutic classes to help those recovering from an injury or illness. While the first class isn’t free, you can get a free monthly membership in exchange for just five hours of volunteer work each week. Sounds like a small price to pay for unlimited yoga!

Moksha Yoga

Moksha Yoga is one of Montreal’s most popular hot yoga studios. With classes offered nearly every hour of the day starting at 7:00am, Moksha is a convenient way to get some exercise whether you’re on your way to work or coming home after a long day. Thanks to Moksha’s Energy Exchange Program, you can pay all of $0 for unlimited yoga. All you have to do is volunteer for four hours a week at the studio.
