Environment Canada issues heavy rainfall warning for Montreal

Environment Canada has issued a weather warning  for Montreal and surrounding regions as heavy rainfall is expected.

According to the weather agency, 25 to 35 millimetres of rain is expected over the identified areas beginning this evening through Wednesday night.

The alert applies to the following areas:

• Laval area
• Montréal Island area

The rain will ease off by Thursday as sun and clear conditions are expected. However, snow is on its way on Friday, reminding us that winter is still sticking around for a bit.
