UNIQLO is opening a second store in Quebec next year

Dec 2 2020, 4:31 pm

The largest UNIQLO in the country opened in Montreal this past October, and another location of the popular Japanese retailer is set to open in the province next year.

In the spring of 2021, UNIQLO will open its doors at the Cadillac Fairview Carrefour Laval.

The Japanese global apparel retailer made the announcement today, confirmed in an email shared with Daily Hive Montreal.

Laval’s UNIQLO will become the 15th in the country, joining eight in the Greater Toronto Area, four across British Columbia, one in the West Edmonton Mall, and its provincial partner at the Eaton Centre in Montreal.

Best known for its quality basics and relatively affordable prices, the retailer has over 1,800 locations around the world and is the largest clothing retailer in Asia.

“With the continuous demand from Quebecers, we are excited to share that we are opening a second store in Quebec,” said Yuichiro Kaneko, CEO of UNIQLO Canada. “This new location in Laval marks our commitment to making our high quality, functional and thoughtfully created LifeWear apparel more accessible by bringing products designed to fit new and emerging lifestyles to more Canadians. We look forward to welcoming Quebecers to our new location in 2021.”

LifeWear is the UNIQLO commitment to “creating perfect clothing” that meets the needs of everyone’s daily lifestyle, seeking to make everyday apparel wear “more comfortable.”

UNIQLO says its LifeWear commitment is meant to protect against cold winters, rainy days, or look smart for important occasions — perfect for Quebec’s lifestyles.
