There's a massive tulip festival going on just outside of Montreal until June 2
Flower fans could get a whiff of springtime in Laval as the city is boasting fields-worth of the plant, featuring half a million tulips.
Yes, half a million.
And you can pick them, purchase them, and picture them.

Labelled as the first of its kind in Quebec, Laval’s “U-Pick Tulip Field” kicked off last week and will stick around until June 2. Admission ranges from $8 to $10 and prices vary depending on how many tulips are picked.
(We wouldn’t recommend picking all 500,000,)

The tulip festival is open rain or shine and stresses that “no tools are required” to nab some beautiful flowers. Organizers do recommend bringing your own bucket to water the flowers for the trip back home.
To pick the tulips, U-Pick recommends to “simply hold the tulip by the stem as close as possible to the ground and pull.”

Precut tulips and a wrapping station are also available on site.
The tulip festival also hosts photography shoots because nothing says ‘wedding photos’ like half a million coloured tulips.
