If a picture is worth a thousand words, then this timelapse video of the Jacques-Cartier Bridge should be worth a few million.

Montreal based photographer Jérémy Voisin, who specializes in timelapse videos, posted a video to Instagram of the 89-year-old bridge going through its weekly illumination, in faster time.

According to Réalisations-Montreal, the company in charge of the bridge’s illuminations, the bridge’s colour palette changes throughout the seasons, thanks to its “chromatic calendar of 365 colours.”

Day after day, it is transformed from autumn red to an icy blue of winter to the spring energizing green and the radiant summer orange.

The Jacques-Cartier Bridge is currently evolving from the wintery blue hue to the welcomed, springtime green.

Voisin, who has shown the city’s transition from day to night from two iconic spots, both Mont Royal and the Saint Lawrence River, used the famous bridge as his latest subject, and it’s magnificent and mesmerizing to watch.
