The TripAdvisor folks are back at it with their Travelers’ Choice awards for top restaurants around the world.

This year’s awards recognize 528 restaurants overall, including the top 25 fine dining in the world and dedicated lists for Asia, Canada, Europe, India, Mexico, South America, South Pacific, the U.K. and the U.S.

And much to no one’s surprise, Montreal took the top spot! We are known as Canada’s foodie city after all.

The winner? Old Montreal’s romantic and refined Le Club Chasse Et Peche.

As one Tripadvisor reviewer put it “This is a place that has it all: brilliant cuisine, excellent service, extraordinary food, and an elegant atmosphere.” We couldn’t agree more Nancy.

What’s even more impressive is that 7 out of the top 10 restaurants listed all hail from Quebec.

Below is the list of the 10 top spots:

  1. Le Club Chasse Et Peche, Montreal
  2. Rim Rock Cafe & Oyster Bar, Whistler, British Columbia
  3. Europea, Montreal
  4. Bouillon Bilk, Montreal
  5. AG, Niagra Falls, Ontario
  6. Blue Water Cafe, Vancouver
  7. Le Saint-Amour, Quebec City
  8. Beckta Dining & Wine, Ottawa
  9. Bonaparte, Montreal
  10. Chez Boulay Bistro Boreal, Quebec City

In case you’re curious, award winners were determined using an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of reviews for restaurants around the world, gathered over a 12-month period.

Now start making those reservations!
