Subway launches Beyond Meatball Marinara sandwich across Canada

Surprise, surprise, plant-based crowd — Subway has hopped aboard the Beyond Meat train.

In September, the sandwich giant executed a test-run of a Beyond Meatball sub, and now, the menu item has officially launched across Canada.

The plant-based offering is said to include just as much flavour as the traditional meatball sub the eatery serves, and is packed with 22 grams of protein per six-inch sub.

Complemented by marinara sauce, grated parmesan, shredded mozzarella and Monterey Jack, and served on a toasted bun, you’ll be taken to genuine meatball-land with this bad boy.

“We are proud to expand the Beyond Meatball to thousands of Subway locations across Canada, introducing the delicious taste and benefits of Beyond Meat to a widening consumer base,” says Ethan Brown, Beyond Meat CEO and founder in a release.

When ordering, you can enjoy the Beyond Meatball as it comes, or create your own sammy with various breads, toppings, and sauces.

The new sandwich is available now at participating locations.
