Quebec public health has reported 2,381 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday morning, along with 64 new deaths.
According to Santé Quebec, of the newly reported deaths, 17 occurred in the last 24 hours, 39 between December 22 and December 27, one before December 22, and seven at an unknown date.
The number of hospitalizations has increased by seven compared to the day before for a total of 1,131. The number of people in intensive care has increased by two to 148.
Total coronavirus cases in the province have now reached 197,311, along with 8,124 deaths.
According to public health, the samples conducted on December 27 amount to 23,444 for a total of 4,817,090.
Finally, 2,857 doses of vaccine were administered yesterday, for a total of 22,500 in Quebec.
Public health advises people to frequently wash their hands, use alcohol-based sanitizers, wear face masks in public, respect your region’s private gathering measures, and limit travel.
