Quebec reports under 100 coronavirus cases for sixth consecutive day

There are 64 new coronavirus cases confirmed in the province over the past 24 hours, the sixth consecutive day of less than 100 reported cases in Quebec.

According to Santé Quebec, the province’s coronavirus death toll has also increased by two since Tuesday morning, raising the provincial total to 5,729.

There are now 61,316 cases in the province, 146 hospitalizations, and 26 patients in the ICU.

Currently, a reported 943,382 tests have turned up negative throughout Quebec, and 54,238 cases have been resolved.

The new data had been reported by hospitals and public health officials as of Tuesday, August 18, at 6 pm.

Santé Quebec says that despite the newly announced cases, hospitalizations continue to stabilize.

Canada’s coronavirus death toll now totals 9,045.
