Quebec reports 2,511 new COVID-19 cases, 41 deaths

Quebec public health has reported 2,511 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday morning.

According to Santé Quebec, there have been 10 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours, 28 between December 23 and December 28, and three that occurred on an unknown date.

The number of hospitalizations has increased by 80 compared to the day before, for a total of 1,211. The number of people in intensive care has increased by four, to a total of 152.

Total coronavirus cases in the province have now reached 199,822, along with 8,165 deaths.

According to public health, the samples conducted on December 28 amount to 28,541, for a total of 4,845,631. As for doses of the vaccine, 2,739 were administered yesterday, for a total of 25,315.

Public health advises people to frequently wash their hands, use alcohol-based sanitizers, wear face masks in public, respect your region’s private gathering measures, and limit travel.
