Quebec confirmed 225 new coronavirus cases Saturday morning, bringing the province’s total case count to 52,624.
That’s about in line with the new 226 cases reported the previous day, and significantly less from times when the province was reporting more than 500 new cases every day.
Quebec also reported only 8 more coronavirus deaths in the last day, bringing the death toll to 4,978.
The number of recoveries is also increasing, with 18,714 people now considered clear of their infections.
There are 972 people in hospital with coronavirus infections in Quebec, with 128 of those in intensive care.
