
Quebec health officials have added 1,072 new COVID-19 cases to the provincial total along with 19 new virus-related deaths.
Two deaths have been attributed to the past 24 hours and 17 have been added from earlier on in October.
Since the start of the pandemic, total coronavirus cases in the province now totals 96,288 along with 6,074 deaths.

Public health is reporting 1,712,776 negative tests and 565 hospitalizations, 94 of which are in intensive care. According to Sante Québec, 80,468 cases have been deemed as “recoveries.”

Public health continues to advise people to frequently wash their hands, use alcohol-based sanitizers, wear face masks in public, and respect the maximum 10-person limit for indoor gatherings.
