Quebec reports 554 new coronavirus cases, 39 more deaths

Quebec confirmed 554 new test-positive COVID-19 cases on Easter Sunday, which brings the province’s total known case count close to 13,000.

In Quebec, 12, 846 people so far have tested positive for coronavirus.

Quebec reported 39 more deaths, bringing its death toll to 328.

There are 824 people with coronavirus in hospital in Quebec right now, and 217 of them are in intensive care.

Quebec continues to be Canada’s hardest hit province during the pandemic, reporting the most cases and most deaths.

Authorities are asking residents to continue physically distancing themselves from each other over the holiday weekend.
