Quebec announces 106 new coronavirus deaths

Quebec reported 651 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, as 106 more people have died due to the virus. The province also reported 333 new recoveries.

The number of new cases is down from Friday (778) and is the lowest seen in the province in 11 days. There are now 23,267 known cases of the coronavirus in Quebec, with 1,446 deaths and 5,057 recoveries.

The vast majority of known cases have occurred in Montreal, which now counts 11,161 cases.

There are currently 1,509 people hospitalized (up from 1,460 on Friday) due to the virus, with 217 of them in intensive care (down from 227).
