Quebec reports over 100 new coronavirus cases and zero deaths

The Quebec government revealed that the province’s COVID-19 death toll has remained at 5,687 after announcing zero new deaths since Thursday morning.

Coronavirus cases in the province have increased by 108 in the past 24 hours.

According to Santé Quebec, there are now 60,241 cases in the province, 165 hospitalizations, and 19 patients in the ICU.

Currently, a reported 832,404 tests have turned up negative throughout Quebec, and over 30,000 cases have been resolved.

The new data had been reported by hospitals and public health officials as of Thursday, August 6, at 6 pm.

Santé Quebec says that despite the newly announced cases, hospitalizations continue to stabilize. The 108 newly-announced cases are the lowest daily increase since Thursday, July 30, when 58 cases were confirmed.

Canada’s coronavirus death toll now totals 8,966.
