15 pics from Old Montreal's magical Christmas alleyway (PHOTOS)

Dec 5 2019, 5:48 pm

Maison Pepin’s “Le Marché de Noël” has easily become one of the most picturesque spots in the entire city.

The entrance to the Old Montreal shop has been transformed into a magical Christmas alleyway and pictures have been flooding the virtual world of Instagram since the alley went into full-holiday mode at the end of November.

The market itself features a variety of locally-made products for sale and DIY workshops from gift packaging to wreath making and is accessible of Rue Saint Paul until December 22 (the shop is open year round).

Without taking away from the local artisans, the alleyway’s narrow walls and dim lighting make for some spectacular photo ops especially when it’s covered in a little bit of snow.

If you haven’t had a chance to check out the magical spot, here are 15 pictures from this season’s rustic and enchanting alleyway.

Here’s betting we’re in for a few engagement proposals this holiday season (hint, hint).
