There’s no need to go to Calgary next summer as Montreal will be getting its very own stampede.
Titled NomadFest Rodeo Urbain, Montrealers will be able to experience traditional rodeo in the big city for four days only next summer.
Happening from August 24-27, 2017, NomadFest Rodeo Urbain will allow you to unleash your inner cowboy.
As part of the city’s 375th anniversary celebrations, the Jacques Cartier Pier is going to host a “bronco-busting country festival.”
The event will include four world-class rodeo competitions, a wild, wild west setting featuring a general store and cowboy school, a saloon with piano players and dancers, and a main stage where country, folk, and bluegrass acts will continually take the stage for four days straight.
Children will even have the opportunity to try their hand at traditional activities including riding a mechanical bull, playing horseshoes, and throwing a lasso.
Pet horses, meet cowboys, attend a hoedown, and eat some delicious barbecue grub are all in a day’s work at the NomadFest Rodeo Urbain.
We don’t know about you, but we’re pretty excited for next summer.
