Montreal to host Taco Week this October

Montreal is gearing up to host its first annual Taco Week.

Taco Week is a week-long festival in which participating restaurants “pay homage to Mexican cuisine and culture by celebrating the awesomeness that is the Taco.”

The festival will be happening in Montreal from October 15-22, 2016.

12 restaurants will be participating, each of which has chosen a specialty taco to put on the menu in honour of Taco Week. Every menu item will be $10 or less, making Taco Week one delicious bargain.

Participating restaurants include Emiliano’s, Ta Chido, Cartel, Mercado, T&T Tacos et Tortas, El Sabor de Mexico, and many more.

Mercado will be serving up the Taco de Bacalao, made with Mexican beer batter deep fried cod, a homemade beet tortilla, and remoulade.

El Sabor de Mexico will be offering the Taco de Queue de Porcelet, made with pico de gallo, feta cheese, black beans, and corn.

Finally, Ta Chido will be wowing customers with the Taco Placero de Cecina which includes salted beefsteak, diced Nopal cactus, tomato, coriander, caramelized onions, and a Guajillo pepper tortilla.
