It may look and feel like Christmas this coming weekend, but Montreal’s temperature may say otherwise.

According to The Weather Network, Montreal is slated to heat up at the end of the week and the temperatures will get as high as 7°C on Friday, a 14° increase from the city’s current -7°C weather (while it feels like -14°C).

The spring-like temperature comes on the heels of Environment Canada predicting that Montreal likely won’t be enjoying a white Christmas.

On Thursday, December 20, the temperature is expected to hover above zero at 2°C before a mild 4°C on Saturday.

Friday’s 7°C is also slated to come with an 80% chance of rain as the city could see up to 35 mm of rain which could wipe away what little snow we have remaining.

Temperatures are supposed to dip to -5°C on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, according to the weather website, without any indication of snow.

Here’s hoping Santa Claus can deliver some Christmas magic along with a couple of gifts.
