A Montreal street will be named after Daisy Sweeney, a famous piano teacher who died last week at 97.
Sweeney was known for teaching jazz legends such as Oliver Jones and her own brother, Oscar Peterson, how to play the piano.
In a tweet, Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre said that he spoke with Jones and “promised him we will make sure there will be a Daisy Peterson Sweeney street in her honour shortly.”
