Three weeks into 2021, we’re finally getting a taste of theΒ real snowy Montreal winter we know and love.

Saturday’s snowfall has wrapped the city in a white blanket and brought along just under freezing temperatures, throwing an invitation to all winter activity enthusiasts to enjoy.

And of course, for many Montrealers, it has also brought back the perennial struggle of having to clear the mountains of snow covering their cars.

This year’s first snowfall has also revived some of Montreal’s seasonal cheer as many are taking advantage of their time at home to decorate the streets with snowmen. Artists who prefer a digital medium have taken to Instagram to showcase their favourite sides of the city.

For those who are staying in, here are some of our favourite shots of Montreal under the snow. Remember to tag us if you’re going out for some snowfall pics and to use the hashtag #dailyhivemtl.
