One person is dead and another injured after a mid-air collision between two light aircraft in Montreal on Friday.
The incident occurred just before 1 pm, when the planes collided over the Promenades St-Bruno shopping mall.
According to the Police de Longueuil, one of the planes crashed on the roof of the shopping centre, the other in its parking lot.

“There has been an accident between two small planes above the Promenades St-Bruno. One aircraft crashed in the parking lot, the other on the roof.”
The pilots were alone in their respective aircraft, with no passengers aboard. Police confirmed early this afternoon that one of the pilots had died.

The condition of the other pilot is not known. Both planes belong to Cargair, a pilot training school from Saint-Hubert.
