The Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (OSM) and celebrated maestro Kent Nagano dedicated a virtual rendition of “Sicilienne” by Gabriel Fauré to Quebec’s essential workers on Thursday.

The tribute features the province’s doctors, nurses, pharmacists, police officers, firefighters, delivery staff, grocery store employees, pharmacists, HEMA Quebec workers, airline staff, and others as the orchestra virtually gathers around them in black and white.

“With this video, the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal and Kent Nagano wish to thank from the bottom of their hearts, all those in Quebec who provide essentials services and take care of us all every day,” reads the OSM’s post.

The powerful tribute, which was uploaded on Thursday afternoon, has already garnered over 37,000 views.
