The city’s largest museum is about to get bumpin’.
The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts wants you to kick off your summer with style and cocktails.
On June 8, the museum will launch its 5th annual Chiaroscuro soiree, turning the building into a “beach” party for the night.
The museum wants participants to wander through the exhibitions, illuminated with neon lights, artistic performances, and DJs’ tunes with refreshing cocktails and savoury appetizers.
Along with the museum’s regular programming of Archaeology & World Cultures, Decorative Arts & Design, and International Contemporary Art, the event will also offer an illustration workshop, dance performances and four DJs: Karim Ouellet, Honeydrip, Charles Cozy, and Andrew Pololos.
Participants are urged to view the design galleries and decorative arts in a fashion you’ve never experienced in a museum before.
Admission is free for avant-garde members and non-member tickets to the event are available for $12. A limited amount of tickets are available at the door or online.
