The 20th edition of Montreal's mesmerizing Festival of Lights returns this month

Since the Luminothérapie art installation has packed up for the winter, Montreal’s Quartier des Spectacles is going bigger, bolder, and brighter as the Festival of Lights returns to the city.
Known officially as Montréal en Lumière, the outdoor site offers a multitude of spectacular lights, activities and gourmet food to really show winter who’s boss.

The festival primarily aims to light up Montreal during the dark days on winter with dining events, live performances, free all-night activities and innovative art installations.
Though the event coordinates the display of light installations in specific locations around the city, the focal point of Montréal en Lumière is the Quartier des Spectacles and Place des Festivals.
Local DJs, live bands, an illuminated ferris wheel, and an incredible 360-foot ice slide take over the festival site as well as a two-city-block long zip line that allows festival-goers to zoom over the colourful site.
The site doesn’t only boast mesmerizing sights, but also top-notch gourmet food stations, selling everything from soups to keep you nice and toasty, to maple syrup products and cheese fondue.
