An international kombucha tea festival is coming to Montreal from August 23 to 25

Kombucha lovers are about to get a serious fix as a fermented tea festival makes its way towards Montreal at the end of the month.

The second annual festival, known as Boochfest, will highlight different varieties of kombucha from around the world (which guests can obviously taste), host brewing workshops, live music, a pop-up shop, and more.

The popular form of tea originates from Asia where it is was created over 2,000 years ago. It is comprised of tea, sugar, yeast, and a symbiotic culture of bacteria known as ‘scoby.’

Boochfest will feature brewers from all over the world and 30 different products will be available for tasting and purchasing on site, including: RISE, Brew DR, GT’s, Pur, Tchaga, Vee, Kombu, and more.

The festival will take place at Jarry Park from August 23 to 25 and general admission costs $10.
