Festival Phenomena, Montreal’s annual underground arts festival, kicks off today in Montreal. The festival has an exciting schedule with a multitude of unconventional performances happening all over the city from October 12th until the 21st.
The event we’re most excited about is Cirquantique: Animation des lieux, happening on Saturday, October 15th.
Not only does the show look ridiculously cool, it also happens to be free.
Cirquantique: Animation des lieux is an eccentric and family-friendly event that will transform La Sala Rossa’s parking lot into a real live carnival.
This year’s program combines performance, circus acts, and burlesque for the carnival of the season.
More specifically, visitors can expect to see a master of ceremonies on stilts, a gypsy and her crystal ball, twin bearded ladies, a contortionist doll, and of course, lots and lots of cotton candy.
