According to local meteorologist, Montreal Weather Records, with a 1 pm high of 33.7ºC, today is the hottest May 27 on record, since data collection began in 1872.

Wednesday’s scorcher bested the previous record of 31.7ºC which was recorded on this date in 2016.
Since 1941, the weather data has been recorded from Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport and was recorded from McGill University before that.

As per The Weather Network, with Humidex values, today feels like 39ºC in Montreal.
As a result of the three-day heatwave, the City of Montreal has reopened the island’s play fountains and splash pads as Environment Canada’s heat warning remains in effect.
