
Montrealers can expect three consecutive days of near 40°C weather to start the last week of May.
Temperatures are expected to reach “feels like” highs of 39°C on Wednesday, wedged in between 37°C on Tuesday and 36°C on Thursday.
Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement, calling for a “change in airmass” for the midweek throughout the Montreal metropolitan area.

The statement, issued in the early hours of Monday morning, is in effect for the following areas:
- Châteauguay – La Prairie area
- Laval area
- Longueuil – Varennes area
- Montreal Island area
The mini-heatwave is expected to cool down on Friday before much cooler temperatures ushed in the final weekend of May.
