Happy Thursday! From pizza to a neighbourhood art festival there is so much happening around town today. Get out there and enjoy these Montreal events.

Talking Windows at Ville-Marie

Taking Windows was created about 15 years ago in the north of France and has been a hit in Montreal since 2007. Residents will let artists use their windows, porches, and stairs as an exhibition space for their work. The street will become a living, breathing gallery space that ignites conversation between visitors, artists, and residents.

Visit Montreal’s newest park 

Montreal’s Bonaventure park is officially open and a new urban boulevard has taken over the raised highway that was once there.

The $142 million project allows pedestrians to walk freely through a number of green spaces and has a number of very cool features that are worth checking out.

KM3

Montreal’s art scene is getting even better with the addition of KM3 (pronounced kilometre cube) a free participatory walking tour of art installations around the city.

This kilometre long public art trail is located at Quartier des Spectacles and is part of Montreal’s 375th-anniversary celebrations.

Get up close and personal as you walk through the streets to view 22 works of public art created by artists in Quebec and all over the world.

POP Montreal International Music Festival

POP Montreal International Music Festival is a non-profit community organization that supports independent art forms, showcasing emerging and celebrated artistic talents worldwide. Now entering its 16th year, POP Montreal’s main event is a five-day long festival of music and art, which takes place in early fall, presenting more than 450 bands.

Montreal Pizza Festival 

The festival showcases some of the best slices in the city. All you need to do is visit participating pizzerias. When you stop by for some pie you’ll receive a “Pizza Passport” for participating. The best part of it all is that for every “Pizza Passport” you collect, you get entered to win a trip to Naples, Italy.
